Tabloid
NewsWeb's tabloid product will have a fixed width of 12 3/8" based on a fixed press cut-off of 24 3/4" and can vary in depth of 15 to 18 inches. If a product is required to be slightly smaller that standard sizes, it can be sent to a bindery and be stitched and trimmed. It can be 1/2 or 1/4 folded on press to a maximum of 48 pages. The number of pages that can be printed in one pass depends on the choice of paper stock and the press available. We will advise you if a product must be run in multiple signatures/copies.

Broadsheet
A broadsheet is the traditional newspaper format (eg., The Toronto Star is a typical example of this size). Although a Broadsheet has a fixed depth of 24 3/4", its width will be variable, from 15 to 18 inches. A maximum of 24 broadsheet pages may be printed in one pass with a 1/2 fold capability. Heavier paper stocks will reduce the maximums, as with the Tabloid format. Normally, a broadsheet is not stitched and/or trimmed, so the finished size must be achieved on press.

Half-tab
Commonly known as the standard "magazine" type format, final half-tab trim sizes will vary according to customer needs, but generally this product ranges from 8" x 10" to 8 1/4" x 11 3/4". NewsWeb's presses can offer anywhere from 8 pages to 96 pages on half-tab in one pass, with process colour on one to 16 pages (generally, on page 1 and page 2 side or, if necessary, page 1 and page 3 side). These products are sent to the bindery to be (three) side trimmed and stitched or perfect bound as required.
